Common Question #1
What should I expect during my first massage appointment?
During your first visit, arrive about 10-15 minutes early to complete a brief intake form. This helps us understand your health history, any areas of concern, and your preferences for pressure and technique. Your therapist will discuss your goals and any physical limitations before beginning.
The massage itself typically lasts 50-60 minutes for a standard session. You'll be draped with sheets or blankets for comfort and privacy, with only the area being worked on exposed. Communication is important — let your therapist know if the pressure is too firm or too light, or if you'd like to avoid certain areas.
After your massage, take time to rest and hydrate. Many people feel relaxed and may experience mild soreness the next day, which is normal as your muscles adjust. We recommend scheduling your next appointment before you leave so you can maintain the benefits of regular massage therapy.
